Advantages of a customized tour

The main advantage of a customized tour is the freedom it allows you: you may choose the dates of your tour, the length, the itinerary, hotels, excursions, activities, according to your preferences and your budget.

Although our tours are customized and therefore private, in order to reduce overall costs you may wish to opt for certain aspects of your tour to be done as a group. For groups under 4 people, we would highly recommend this for certain excursions which require many hours of traveling, which can be costly when done in a small group. We recommend the use of public transportation for transportation between different stages of your tour, again for budgeting reasons. However, city guided tours are always private.

If you are in a group of 4 people or more, it can then be quite advantageous to hire private services for most excursions and transportation. For groups under 7-8 people, we recommend local guides for each excursion rather than an accompanying guide during the whole tour. If your group is larger than 8 people, having a guide accompany you during the whole tour then becomes a more interesting option.

From a budgeting point of view, a customized tour doesn’t have to break the bank: by using public transportation on certain legs of your tour, and by having guides only during excursions and city tours, you can easily keep your budget low for your trip.
