Terms and conditions
1. Enrolment
1.1. Signing up for one of our tours implies accepting our terms and conditions. Enrolment is effective from the moment you sign a 35% down payment for the total amount of the services, by bank transfer or by card.
2. Cancelation on your part
2.1. In the event of a cancelation on your part more than 45 days before departure, the entirety of the down payment will be reimbursed, excluding 130$ of booking expenses per person (resulting bank fees will be at your expense).
2.2. In the event of a cancelation on your part between 45 and 21 days before departure, Paprika Tours will retain 35% of the total value of the tour.
2.3. In the event of a cancelation on your part between 20 and 10 days before departure, Paprika Tours will retain 50% of the total value of the tour.
2.4. In the event of a cancelation on your part between 9 and 2 days before departure, Paprika Tours will retain 70% of the total value of the tour.
2.5. A cancelation on your part less than 2 days before departure, not showing up to the departure meeting point or interrupting of the tour on your part for whatever reason, will not lead to any reimbursement of any kind.
In case of a delayed arrival of your international flight, Paprika Tours will offer the best possible solution in order to resume the tour as easily as possible. Potential additional costs concerning transport and hotels caused by this modification will be at your expense. Transport, hotel stays, excursions and other services cancelled due to this delay will be reimbursed on a par with the repayment that Paprika Tours will have received from its service providers.
2.5. When it comes to the Inca Trail (2 or 4 day version), a 150 US$ provision per person will not be reimbursed. It is not possible either to modify the dates or names of the participants. These rules are set by the INC (Instituto Nacional de la Cultura), a state organization which controls access to the Inca Trail.
3. Reducing the size of the group due to the cancelation of one or more participants
3.1. The conditions of the cancelations mentioned above will apply to each participant canceling his or her tour. However, for the remaining passengers, the cost of the tour per person can increase. Indeed, the price per person is calculated on the base of the number of participants, and is valid only if this number is maintained. The participants who have canceled their tour will not be responsible for this additional cost, which will be at the expense of the remaining travelers who are going on the tour.
4. Cancelation by Paprika Tours
4.1. In the event of a cancelation on our part due to a case of force majeure (for example: political or social uprisings which do not allow us to ensure minimum security conditions), the entirety of your down payment will be refunded, apart from the bank fees and other potential non-refundable fees, upon presentation of supporting documents. No compensatory allowance will be paid. If you haven’t taken out cancellation insurance for your international flight, Paprika Tours will not be held liable and will not be held responsible for its refund.
5. Changes in the program
5.1. For justified reasons, (specifically social movements, climatic events, natural catastrophes, passenger security etc), Paprika Tours reserves the right to modify a means of transport, accommodation and an itinerary, as well as travel times on certain excursions.
5.2. Paprika Tours is not responsible for the consequences resulting from a program alteration caused by airports closing, weather conditions, any natural catastrophes or other motives, such as the delay or cancellation of a flight, political situations such as war, strikes, and/or other force majeure circumstances. Additional costs generated by these types of alterations will be at your expense.
5.3. Once the initial down payment has been paid, the client will no longer be able to alter the program without Paprika Tours’ consent. Alteration charges will apply, depending on the costs and penalty fees ensued by the cancelation or alteration applied by the providers of the services which have already booked and/or paid for.
6. Formalities
6.1. You are under the obligation to respect the local rules in terms of customs, passport and vaccinations. Paprika Tours cannot be held liable for potential consequences of non-compliance with these formalities.
7. Risk and insurance
7.1. You must keep in mind that local security conditions, the potential remoteness of medical centers and the activities you will carry out will comprise certain risks which you should accept in full knowledge of the cause. The transport companies used (airplane, bus, boat, private vehicle) have their own insurance and are solely responsible for all damages in the event of an accident. Paprika Tours is an intermediary and always chooses safe and certified companies. Paprika Tours does not provide insurance.
